What type do you want to do? For something very simple I would suggest a pre-printed cross embroidery. There are all sorts of kits available and many you can put together to make a quilt. Herrschner's usually has a nice variety with not to much to invest to see if you like it. Something very quick results would be a pillow case set - and maybe just buy iron-ons . My mother taught me using tea towels and the iron-on patterns.
