Has anyone else noticed a decrease in their hummingbird population this year? Usually I have 15-20 by this time, but I've only seen 4 or 5. Wondering if the recent storms that ripped thru the area caused them to avoid coming here, or if there is some ecological problem. I've also seen a lot less of the bee population.

Haven't noticed a difference. In fact I have a Hummingbird nest in my tree. She is sure a good Mom. The nest is so small I have to use Binoculars to watch her. It's been fun.

We've never had them around...I don't feed them due to the outside cats. We feed the "bigger" birds that have a fighting chance :)

I haven't had near as many this year. I attributed to the hot weather.

Haven't seen any this year. Put up a new feeder for them and everything. I'm disappointed. :(

I've not had any this year as well. A friend who just lives 12 miles west has 100s in her yard. The year before last I didn't see hummers until late August. Who knows what will happen this year with this terrible drought.
