Default Baby Bird Quilt

My Great Niece is expecting!
Pattern: "Twitter"
https://www.quiltingdaily.com/produc...tern-download/
Size: 45" X 46"
Fabric: Shopped my stash.
My quilt was inspired by the pattern. I didn't care for the way they did the pinwheels, the points were cut off. I know that's a 'look', but after carefully constructing my HSTs, I'll be darned if I clip them. I also pieced the legs (pattern has you embroider them) and I did turned applique rather than raw edge.
It's my first applique project, so I made a practice bird block. This gave me the opportunity to audition my quilting pattern and then make a cute gift bag. From a prior project I had strips of the blue ladybug fabric that I added to the quilt back and the bag handles.
I can see why baby quilts are addictive. This was a really quick project.

Hi, your link didn't work for me. I've never been to this site before, but lots of cute, free patterns! Thanks for the tip.

PaperPrincess..............love your Twitter baby quilt. Yes, I too enjoy making baby quilts as they work up quickly, are a great way to try out a new pattern or quilting technique and greatly appreciated as a gift or donation. Thanks for the great pattern links.

I always love a little bird in a quilt. Tilda had doll patterns too. Skinny ones. Enjoy
