On our FW the serial number is under the bottom of the left end (bobbin end) of the machine on a machined flat surface.

Ours is AH439804, made in 1948.

Her name is Aunt BettyLou, named after the neighbor who tauht me how to sew at age three.
Shee said i ld have any button if i could sew it down to fabric...i really wanted those old button that wew her g grandmothers( that was about 1962-3)

Her front plate is all engraved, not the st lines. Will try to figure out how to put up pics later.

I was sewing a whacky bag with ours day before yesterday and it felt like I was sewing with a toy. They are sooooo tiny compared to a full sized machine. I really wish some of my full sized machines sewed as good as our little FW does though.
