Default 201-2 Grease Wicks

My grease wicks arrived today, so I will start on replacing those tomorrow (hopefully). The machine is still in the cabinet. (I found removing the machine from the cabinet is a real pain, so want to avoid that if I can.)

This wiring to the motor is still sound, and the motor works well. I see no need to remove the motor, unless it's tons easier to replace the grease wicks that way.

There are multiple online tutorials on how to change out the wicks, but those I've found are done in conjunction on some kind of motor work or rewiring, so the motor is removed from the machine.

Has anyone replaced these without removing the motor?

It is easier with the motor removed, just what I think. Especially if you want to clean out all the old gooey grease with a q-tip.
