Buslady, Doesn't this little machine love to FMQ? I'm doing a spiral table runner now with a flannel quilt waiting in line. Will you please post a picture in vintage quilts?

I did it on a friends quilt and she hasn't finished/binded it yet. Will post picture when she does.

I have 2 301's. Both shortbed, in black and tan. I also have the No 65 cabinet with a knee controller. LOVE this machine! I swap the two out of the cabinet frequently so I can use them both . I actually bought the second one to keep in my camper in the summer, but brought it in for winter.

I ordered a singer walking foot for my 301, it was from an online source and had a quilting guide with it, part
#P60448, I put the lobster claw arm over my needle arm to the right of the needle but when I tried to screw the attachment to the pressure foot bar, it made the foot twist to the left of the feed dog. It almost seemed as if the white plastic box came up too close to the screw hole.
Has anyone ordered a walking foot for their 301 from an online Singer parts place and it attached and worked successfully for them? If so, please let me know where you ordered it from.
Thanks

You have to have one that has been altered to fit a 301 see Sew-classic for more info - you can get them already altered or you can get one and she will send instructions if you buy from her
