I am having tension issues, I believe I found out the reason why. I am hoping the pic comes through with this thread, I think I'm missing a screw. This is inside the flap, behind the tension unit. I have no idea what the name is to order one, or where to order one. I know we have a very knowledgeable group here, so I thank You for any and all advice!

Yes, you sure are missing that screw. Try sending the photo to April at http://www.april1930s.com/index.html I've sent her pics of missing 301 screws and she's had them for me.

It may be a tough one to find. April may have it, or you could try Dave McCallum (FeatherweightRX) or Glenn Williams, or Jenny at Sew-Classic. It looks like it's a 301 special part (like the one on the clutch release knob) and doesn't fit any of the other machines I checked. You'll have to get it used, there don't seem to be any "replacement" screws available.

yes the screw is not where it belongs.....but....it may just have fallen out as it is never screwed in tight...

so look all around in the machine ..... tilt it and shake it a bit...... I will pray to St.Anthony (he helps find lost...everything...) for you...............and no loose screw jokes !!!! ok !!!!!!
