Default American Rotary Sewing Machine

I have a 1940 American Rotary Sewing machine. I want to start using it but I do not know what type of oil to use to oil the sewing machine with. Can I use the same oil that I use for my EURO-PRO sewing machine?

Thanks,
Mary/stitchengramie

Sure. Sewing machine oil is universal. Can you put up a picture? We love to see these older girls!! :-)

If the motor has a grease port on the side (like a small tunnel going down into the motor, it needs motor grease, not oil.

And do NOT use 3 in 1 oil on sewing machines, EVER. It makes a total mess.
