I have gathered a number of attachments with the various singers and wanted to put some on ebay. I am a quilter who only sews straight stitch and maybe the hem stitch would be the only ones I use on a regular basis - and maybe zipper. (I am a simple seamstress!)

But these rufflers look down right dangerous - and half of them I don't know what they are for. I am also thinking I need to buy a few more 1/4 inch feet so I don't have to take it off and on so many times when I switch machines.

Is there an attachment which would be a must keep? Which do others use most often? Thx.

This may sound really stupid, but I keep them all. Weather or not I use them, I make up sets of attachments for the machines I use the most.
"I intend" to learn how to use them.
The feet I use the most other than the regular SS and ZZ feet, is the 1/4" foot with the built in guide with the over edge foot coming in a close 4th.

I just used my hemmer and ruffler on my Featherweight (making curtains).

It is kind of fun to use the old attachments.

Just got through painting the kitchen, now I need new curtains, so I will be draging out the 'ole' ruffler. LOL

Joe, your advice is always spot on! I agree with you completely, keep all your attachments with your machine!

Ok.. Just tried out the ruffler which had the singer 's' on it, its pretty cool. Ill keep it!

I have 3rufflers. One is broken and doesnt work heard crunching metal (not good) , and the other ruffler doesnt fit my machine looks not to be low shank.

When I get yet another machine, I look in my box of extras to see what will fit the machine.

Rufflers have many moving parts. They need to be oiled from time to time. Says so in the manual.
