Bernina 701 vintage- needle slows to a stop rather than stopping immediately
Hi
I am very much a newbie but wondered if any of you could advise.
I have a vintage bernina 701 (avocado and cream) which I recently obtained. It is a great machine and runs well. It has its original foot pedal. However Recently when sewing, when I take my foot off the pedal it slows to a stop rather than immediately stopping. I hope I've described that so it makes sense, like it does another stitch for example. It stops immediately if I sew slowly but not when I sew quickly. Any ideas greatly received.
Many thanks

Welcome aboard. I'd be looking for a problem in the controller, but your machine is too new for me. Others may have better ideas.
