Default Can Singer 15-91 portable to put in a cabinet?

Can a Singer 15-91 portable be put in a 15-91 cabinet? If so, are there any special things that need to be done to it to get it in the cabinet? I have the portable and saw a cabinet on ebay. I don’t want to bid if it can’t be done.

I put my 15-91 into a cabinet. It attaches to the portable in the same way it attaches to a cabinet.

The only difference is the factory cabinet machines were wired different from the portables so the wires would pass through the the back of the machine and under to the knee controller. However the portables will still fit and work in the cabinets. You'll just have to drape the wiring and foot controller over top just like you'd do if it was sitting on a table.

Mine came in a cabinet. It doesn't have a knee control and it's one of my favorite machines! It's a 1951 and I love it.
