that style base with the knee bar with the barrel end was produced in the 20's, up to about 1928. At that point Singer changed the wiring and went to the plug in connection at the back of the machine instead of using the chicago plugs.

This is the later style wiring for the knee bar cased machines - uses a bar with a flat end.

also, see that raised plate right below the badge? that is the serial number, there should be letter(s) in front. Make sure you've cleaned it off so you can see all the numbers.

AA009802 falls in the range of numbers allocated to Model 99 (which yours is) on August 1924 . The next range of numbers allocated for Model 99 was in October, so it's safe to assume it was made fall of 1924

It's a model 99, an early one with the stitch length adjuster knob. The later ones were given a lever. It looks like the presser foot is for a zigzag machine, which is wrong for this model. It will behave much better with a straight stich foot for this model (easily available, both hinged and unhinged), your machine originally came with an unhinged one. Does it sew well? The model number you posted looks more like the factory serial number, and like the others say, should have letters. I think model 99 was introduced in 1910 or 1911, yours might be an early one.

I have one with the same knee bar, it is a 1928 Model 99.
Very nice neat machines.
