Yes I did and I need to go ahead and do the tutorial. I have been getting sidetracked with life in general but I need to post them.

Doesn't matter when, no rush, was just afraid I might have missed it.

Need to have one put back together to justify looking at any more......(yeah, right, like I'm not looking anyway).

Billy: I just signed onto this site today. Your tutorial has been a great help in helping me clean a Model 66 I found this past weekend. Can decals for these machines be purchased? This machine had been left out in the Florida weather; the top coat (shellac) and decals are gone.

I do not think they make the Red Eye Decals for the machines. I did at one time when I owned a graphics shop made up several designs for the vintage Singers and I have a few for sale in the Sale section of the forum.

But as far as the factory issued decals none are being made at this time.

Billy, can you still use this paint pen after putting on a coat of Scott's Liquid Gold?

I guess you can, why do you ask?

Did you find some spots that need touching up, if you did then tak a paper towel and rub the snot out of the area to be painted and hit it one time. But wait a few days for it to dry before you put more liquid gold on the machine. Ask me how I found that one out......

Ok! I'm guessing you wound up with a bunch of black streaked decals!
