Default Hey All

Hello Everyone,

I was doing some research on parts for the Bernina 930 when I came across the board. Thank you for allowing me to join. I have had my 930 for about 2 years now and I love it. So when I had the opportunity to purchase another one I thought it would be a good idea to get it for my daughter. She is only 9 but is very interested in learning to sew so I want her to learn on something reliable and easy to use. Unfortunately the machine is missing the cover that goes over the front where the light is. Does anyone have any ideas on where I could find one? any info you have would be appreciated.

Again, thank you for allowing me to join. I know I will have lots of other questions to ask since I am learning as well.

I love my 930. You'd do best to ask if anyone on the vintage Bernina yahoo group has a donor machine.

Welcome aboard. I can't help with your question but it looks like we joined for roughly the same reasons. My 10 year old daughter is learning to sew too so I brought home an old Singer I was storing for years at my parent's house so we could learn to sew together. I discovered I like messing with these old machines and currently we have 4 of them.

Try the vintage Bernina group in Yahoo "Berninathirtysomethings". There are some techs on there that might know where to look for a doner machine.
