I had this problem with Goodwill recently. I won a singer Fashion Mate 252 and they sent me a child's Singer Lockstitch machine! Took 3 weeks to get that ironed out, but I did get the right one evendually.

AND THEN GET THIS ---NO insurance on it at all. Not packed like I would expect a machine that sold for that either. I had the two all boxed and ready to take tothe post office today and my DH asked what I thought I was doing. I said I was going to mail these machines. He said that would be dumb. then you are out your machine, postage on these two machines and no guarantee that you will get your money back. I don't understand how she figured FED EX made the mistake when she had my name and address on the box with the Jones inside. So I wonder if she really knows what she did or who she sold to. She said the 301 was her Dad's machine. Well, you would have thought that would have been a very careful sale, along with that expensive Jones. She sure was pretty tho. She is now packed decent and so is the FW that came my way that wasn't mine either. I sure hope whoever purchased that one didn't spend a whole lot of money on it as it has some serious issues with smell, and white stuff on the bottom of the machine.

Amyjo you must be the one , I'm sending the 301 to N.D. tomorrow..already shipped one to FL...who knows
if I'll get paid back for the shipping. This is too funny. I wonder how many machines went to the wrong place.

Default Wrong machine

well, if you are sending it to Donnybrook, ND that is me and I have your machine. I have not been able to get to the PO yet this morning. I repacked your FW. Can't figure out how some people can sell something and make a mistake like this! I know she had my name and address on the box that the Jones was in so she made that one. Not FED EX. I just hope to get reimbursed for the shipping of these machines. If not she is going to get the worst feedback ever. But she is in Denton, TX not the UK.

Actually it isn't the least bit funny, because I wonder how much she is making off these musical sewing machines? If we all get stiffed for the shipping to people viz Post Office and she got reimbursed by FED Ex for the whole fiasco, and we don't get reimbursed we have all lost money.

I would say you both need to call PayPal and explain the situation. Perhaps they will help you get reimbursed. Don't file item not as described, they'll just have you ship it back at your expense before refunding you, so you would've out the same amount anyways.

Too funny that you found each other! At least this way you know you will get your correct machine, even if you have to pay the shipping. I would be afraid of paying shipping to move it to the right person and then not getting my machine.

well, I shipped out the Jones Hand Crank to Kansas City MO and I sent the FW to Caroline in Seattle WA. Sure hope they are going to be going to the right people this time. I insured and tracked thru parcel post. was told it would take a week for it to get to their destinations. The one in MO started a paypal dispute so won't get pd thru paypal for shipping. she want to send a check and I wrote back I prefer either a cashier check ot a money order. Sure hope I get my machine and am not out my shipping fees. will definitely be watching so I don't order from her again.
