Default Tension on Norwood Sewing Machine

Is there a good way to set the tension on an old Norwood Sewing Machine. I have tried and tried and can't get it to sew correctly. I cleaned and oiled the machine now I have problems. Can anyone help?

Some times there is nothing like taking it apart and putting it back together. You can read a quilt pattern - you can follow the directions in a manual. http://www.tfsr.org/pub/technical_in...echanism_2.pdf this has real good info - it worked for me.
