Really need help finding a tension knob or check spring for this machine I really want to restore it and I'm willing to pay for good parts. My check spring is broke .If anybody can help please help. Somebody in the US has to have the part I need.

Do you still have the broken spring? Have you checked pictures of sewing machine check springs. I know Sew-Classic and Sewing Parts Online carry check springs, as do many others.

A picture may help, besides, we like pictures. The pictures usually need to be reduced to 640x480 or at least less than 1.9MB

I have one machine that the tension assembly was missing lots of parts and I still got it to sew Pfaff K

I'm not sure where my Elgin 2468 is 'buried'

I'm wondering if check spring # 85127 would work. It sure looks to me as if it would.

Sure would like to know for sure if it is the same spring before I purchase it .Can anybody check theirs and see if it's the same. Im not really shure what the original one looks like.

Boy I'm really disappointed in Husqvarna Viking I contacted them to see if they can help me being that Viking used to make the machine and they refused to even help.

I cant find this 85127😟 ive looked I think every where

I am not affiliated, nor have I bought from any of them. One says to email to see if it will work with your machine. I have an Elgin 1145 and was able to get a manual for it at singer.com as it is the same number for a White.

Thank you so very much for the help ,I just ordered one, I just pray that it will work, I really want to get this machine running, so I can start making basic quilts and repair clothes .

Ok got the check spring and it was a perfect match installed very easily I am very pleased and very thankful for everybody's help, Soon I can start quilting just as soon as I receive the rest of my parts.
