Bernina record 730 presser feet??
Well hey guys! I just bought a used Bernina record 730 sewing machine! It works perfectly and beautifully but only came with the standard walking foot. I want to get more feet for it but I'm not sure if other walking feet I find at sewing stores will fit this model. Does anyone know if the Bernina is compatible with other model feet? Or do I have to get the specific ones from ebay?? Thanks so much!!

The 730 Record uses "old style" or "classic" feet. You can get them at any Bernina dealer. If you buy them from eBay, look them to say "old style" or "for 1630 and earlier", or look for the ones with two digit black numbers or three digit numbers stamped in the metal near the top of the feet. You can also get an adapter to allow you to use any low shank feet. The genuine Bernina feet are made well and work well but they are pricey. Be aware that some eBay sellers sell "for Bernina" feet that are not genuine. Look close and you will see a generic low shank foot that has an adapter screwed to the side. If you want to get the original set that came with the 730, watch for a green accessory tray the fits arount the free arm and has little trays that swivel away to open.

Bernina Old Style Feet and Bobbins
My wife is clearing out her sewing desk and came across some old style Bernina presser feet. There are 10 of them, 2 adapter shanks, 10 metal and 3 plastic bobbins. From what I can tell these are expensive so $120.00 for the lot sounds reasonable.
