Default Frozen FW

My little FW's motor is running just fine. The belt is moving along but the wheel is hard to turn manually and won't turn at all (anymore) with the motor.

I oiled eveything I could find.

Is there a cleaner I should use to clean all the parts and then reoil?

When I first got her, she sewed ok, but now she's struggling.

ArizonaKAT,

Before you go with the oils and or cleaners, pull the bobbin and carrier out and look real close there. When we got our FW it would not turn. I found the tail of one ( 1 ) thread sticking out from under the bobbin area. I had to disassemble the bobbin parts to clear it out. That's all it was, one lousy thread that had jammed up the entire machine.

Go here: { http://thefeatherweight221factory.com/page10.php } and look down towards the left side were it says Thread or Machine Jam. Click on that. He has instructions on how to fix the problem if that's what it is.

If the machine was running good then started struggling I'd doubt it's a lube problem.

Thank you, Joe . . . again. The thread was neutral colored and I couldn't see it in bad light. Took me forever to get it out. There must have been a whole bobbin of thread wrapped around it. All I need now is a foot pedal and this little beauty can be a Christmas present for my other granddaughter who just got her first apartment and it's the size of my bathroom.

ArizonaKAT,

Glad I could help. If you can't find one locally, check out Sew-Classic. She has the wiring sets for them.
