Default FW Electrical issue

Both of my FW got to come out to play last weekend as I furnished the sewing machines for a group project to assemble a quilt top.Violet, my purple Featherweight, started having issues. First, her light went off but she still sewed so we figured a burned out bulb and kept going. The next morning, the light was back on, but them everything went off. No light, no motor. I have never worked on electrical and would appreciate any advice on where to start looking for the problem. Thanks.

Sounds to me like a loose connection where the wires are joined to the cord block. You'll have to turn the machine upside down and remove the bottom plate to check the connections.

I agree, sounds like loose wires.

I'll open the bottom and look there. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
