Hah!! What an odd contraption! People are so creative...I have to say I definitely appreciate this more than I do the lamps people make.

On my local Craig's List somebody is selling a White Rotary treadle for $575!

Nope, they are "advertising" it for that price.. VERY different from selling at that price.. hehe

Thanks for confirming that. Since I'm not familiar with industrial machines, I wasn't sure, but something didn't look right.

Cari - IMO no, it's shiny and sparkly... if the decals had been chosen with a little more thought (like the Acanthus leaves pattern that MOST industrials used) it would have been fantastic. If their price was not as off as their art, i'd buy it just to strip the durn things off....
