Utube Videos about tensions -

Our own Muv also has a video about tensions

How to adjust the Tension on a Vintage Long Bobbin Sewing Machine - 1934 Singer 128K Indian Star
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S43_-..._order&list=UL

If you are NOT into video and want some instructions here is good information - a bit more details than the video as well. http://www.tfsr.org/pub/technical_in...echanism_2.pdf

http://www.youtube.com/user/Muvandfa.../5/S43_-Z6C114 see if this works better for Muv's video on tensions. Her other videos are excellent as well. Grab some tea and enjoy.

I have a picture of how a Japanese 15 should look threaded but it won't load on here, sigh.
If it is not threaded through the tension right - it won't work. Thread has to go across the machine, through the tension, through the spring then up over the tension bar (if it has one), through the take up lever and on down through what ever thread guides then into the needle from the left. The needle has to go in according to the manual.

Try checking the pressure regulator on the top of the machine above the pressure foot.
