I want to guess a 99. Most of the 201's I've seen are in tables. But I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination.

This is most certainly not a 201. That bobbin winder alone rules out a 201, as it came out after the new style bobbin winder did. There are plenty of other things that rule out a 201 also.

The harder thing to determine is if it's a 99 or a 66, as they are the same machine in the 3/4 and full size models. This appears to be a 99, the head shape is the easiest way to tell, and the angle of the photo does not show it that well.

Were there any 99s with the large, spoked hand wheel?

The early 99's came in treadle and hand crank models - so they had the spoked wheel.

My vote is 99. I am not expert either, but the neck looks too short to be a 66.

It's a 99. Look at the face plate. It's flat. The 66 face plate is obviously curved. Once you've seen them together you'll know.
You can also take the serial # and go to: { http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...-database.html }. That will tell you the basic model number, how many were made and when they were allotted.

201's all have a white light switch on the right hand side.

All the 201s I've seen have the tension on the front like the 99 and 66s but the stitch regulator looks like a model 15 with the big circle around the lever. Some 201s also have the light in the front of the machine. The machine in the picture is a 99. The hump on the nose is obvious on a 66 (I just double checked on mine).
