I would love to use murder but alas, not all of my machines are black.

I tend to call it "the horde".

If I drag many more home there'll be a murder here too. Mostly though I think herd is appropriate.
Getting rid of machines is "Thinning the herd".
Miriam after your last buy I think mountain might apply in your case.
