Hinged bobbin cover on Singer 66 clone - have to fix or replace?
Not thinking last night, and had the hinged bobbin cover slid open on this machine. Decided to fold her back up in her table and - you guessed it - snap! Off came the hinged cover.
Can this be fixed or will I need to order a new one? I was trying to figure out how it was even attached to begin with (new to figuring out how to take apart/clean these machines). I didn't see another part anywhere.
TIA!

If you watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fi8a_..._order&list=UL
you will find instructions on how to put the slide plate back on. Fast forward to 5:05 minutes into the video. I think that even though yours isn't a Singer 66, that it probably goes back on the same way (I saw the pictures of your machine in your other thread).

JMCDA - pictures were going to come next if I couldn't get it back on. :-)
My hinged plate worked like the one in the youtube video that cabbagepatchkid linked to. Came home, was able to slide it right back on. Was very happy that I hadn't created an additional item to fix!
However, I can't get the cabinet top closed. Cannot figure out the trick. I'll have to post pictures of that tomorrow. On my dinosaur computer at home, having problems with it and pictures.
