Default How to clean up?

I have an old sewing cabinet that I hade the wood part refurbished.
What do I do to make the black iron part look cleaned up and new.
Thank you for all ideas.

Sewing machine oil did wonders for my treadle irons.

I was very fortunate when I had my cabinet re-done. Hubs sandblasted and repainted my irons. My grandmother had 'antiqued' them with some combination of white and gold paint (including the wood). Friend of ours teaches wood working at the local boys 'reform school' and those boys did an amazing job of stripping and refinishing the wood of that cabinet. Now if I could just get past my fear and off my lazy butt and refurb the machine I got for that cabinet!

I cleaned mine with Simple Green and used stove polish on them. It was easy and they look good. Not shiny though but I'm good with the way it turned out.

Stove polish I had not thought of that. Thank you, just didn't want to 'paint' it.
