I live in a 700ft/sq house with no basement and no garage. There is absolutely no room for more than 4 machines here. I have to be very very careful when I go shopping to not bring machines home especially if they are in a cabinet. I have a thrift store shopping addiction that is fact. I know it and I can't seem to control it sometimes. I do find some amazing things for cheep, but if you calculate the time and gas I spend hunting, I'm sure if I stayed home I'd probably save money to pay the price people want on Kijiji and be more productive at other things in my life, like cooking healthy meals and such. But, I'm a thrift addict and I live for the hunt. I think as long as I don't go broke, I get my work done and I don't harm anyone by my actions I'm ok, but I have to try to keep it under tabs almost every day. Ahh first world problems eh.

The answer is the same for machines, fabric, and according to my hubby, power tools. "Just one more.."

Sorry folks, I can't resist this one: The only difference between the men and the boys is the size of their shoes and the price of their toys! You can substitute women and girls, but it doesn't rhyme quite as well! LOL

No matter how many machines you have, one CANNOT pass up a Bernina for $25! I have been eye-ing a 301 LBOW for $50 on CL. I have three 301's already, two of which are LBOW's. I just need ONE black long-bed to find me! With twenty in my stable, I am becoming pickier. I still think it is better to pay more for a really nice one than fritter away money and time trying to find the bargains. I missed out on a truly lovely 15-89 last week b/c I was too cheap. Saver's remorse, I think! Of course, I LOVE the bargains too and I have had my share.

I found a Bernina 730 record with 10 feet and the tray that swings around. Oh my it was $24.95. I almost fainted. It was made in 1968 and I am having it cleaned and beautified this Friday one day service. I can,t wait to play on it.

So the question IS: Can a person have to many machines?
Whoever marked that price on that machine had NOOO idea of what it was worth!

Lucky you!
