Default I found one! What did I find?

Another case of "it's so cool, I have to have it!" "what is it?" I have no ideas here on what this is, but it looks a bit like my Pfaff 130. A bonus is, it was only 5 dollars.

Has anyone here seen one before? I'd love to find out more about this cool machine. Thinking along the lines of a Japanese clone, I looked for a JA number or anything to give me a hint and found under the motor, it says "Made in Italy". It also has a 5 digit serial number underneath with no letters. The tension spring is in an odd spot and there is a numbered area on the faceplate near the take up lever that I can only guess is the presser foot tension? It also has a lever underneath near the bobbin case that I am thinking could be a feed dog drop. *no time yet to really spend poking around but it actually does run.

Catchy title! Cloning 15's post war in ex-axis countries, probably happened like Japan. And Germany apparently had no problem ignoring our patents back into the late 10th Century. So what is the scale on the face plate indicating??

I don't know what it is. But I would have grabbed it too. I like it.

Love your title, and it fits perfectly, apparently, haha! Have fun exploring whatever it is.

The scale on the faceplate is showing the presser foot pressure. The upper tension is a little different in that as you screw it in there are scale markings on the top of the dial and the take up spring is not on the tension device but to the left of it right next to the thread guide.

It's a straight stitch, but does have reverse and also can lower the feed dogs and it has a vertical bobbin.

Doesn't it remind you of the Pfaff? I've tried a bunch of searches and I can't find another like it so far.

I would say it was made for export as the "Made In Italy" is in English. Were it for the Italian market it would make more sense for it to be in Italian.

Steve, would there be any way to figure that out? Like from the serial number or something?

I agree, made for export. It has a Raico motor (Chicago Ill).
