Singer has reused the name "featherweight", obviously to cash in on their earlier success. But this one looks nothing like the older machines. I hope it wasn't this one.

This is a reproduction and there have been threads about them. Not very positive threads, I'm afraid. But for $10 you can't go wrong. Just remember, it's not a REAL FW, it's a copy and not made of the same materials.

Katie, again, Congrats! We are happy for you! I remember when I got my FW. I purchased her from a very nice man in Canada. His name is Norm, so I named her "Norma". That's because he was so nice to deal with and was so sweet. She is a workhorse for sure! She is a 1957 model only 4 yrs. younger than me. I love old things and really appreciate back in the day stuff. Enjoy your featherweight. Thanks for sharing! :)
