Default Illinois Sewing Machine Co New Royal

My DIL recently bought a New Royal treadle on a whim... there is no shuttle or bobbin. Any info would be appreciated. The s/n is 310543 - any idea of age?

Here is a link to one that looks like hers.

Ok, I got to see this machine in person yesterday. It was hard to examine because the leather strap that holds the machine in the upright position is gone. But the handwheel turns freely, the needlebar goes up & down and the treadle wheel also turns. Most of the attachments were in one of the drawers along with the original manual!
I found a shuttle, some bobbins, needles and a new treadle belt, but we really need to replace that lift strap - I am thinking some kind of webbing strap might hold up better? Any ideas on that?

I am sorry there are no photos, but I think my daughter in law will be bringing the machine over to me so we can work on it. Also the cabinet is in pretty good condition, just needs refinishing - I need to read Glenn's tute again!
