Wow, that is awesome. Great thinking and thank you so much for posting it for us to see. I am sure there are quite a few people that would be interested in this fix. You should try the WW group on yahee and let them in on the trick too, they would appreciate it I am sure!

It works, too. I sewed a dust cover for the machine with the plastic bobbin case, and had only two hangups: 1) When the case rotated (tension on the bobbin keeps it upright, I.e. the thread hole at top dead center); and 2) When I ran the bobbin out of thread. I may try another prototype out of a steel teaspoon because the first one is a tiny bit noisy (you can hear the thread click over the case) and I think I can make it a smidge thinner.
