Default Vintage Needlepoint machine

Does any one know any thing about a Needlepoint sewing machine? It's vintage black & has 3 settings silk, embroidery, & normal.

It's at goodwill. I don't know if I want to get it yet. I don't know anything about it.

I just realized that it is a Needlecraft not Needlepoint like it is listed.
Here's the link

It's a 15 Clone. Made in Japan sometime between the later 40's and 1960. Would use "normal" short shank presser feet and a 15x1 needle.

Nice machine.

Thanks Charlee. Is a 15x1 needle a regular singer needle or would I have to order it special? What kind of bobbin does it have? Does it set up like this 'cause of the custom case? I figured you'd know. Thanks in again.

It's a regular needle, and regular class 15 bobbins. I've never seen a case like that one, but would assume that it's home made maybe? Looks like the machine, instead of being encased, just sits on the bottom board....

It seems so different sitting on that bottom board I think that I'll talk to DH about bidding on it tomorrow.
I went to your blog & drooled over some of your machines & cast iron pots. I think that my new addiction is vintage sewing machines. I've got 6 w/ 4 of 'em working. I have 3 other ones that I use also. I've got to get a sewing room soon!!!! Thanks for the addiction & info!

It looks very similar to my very shiney black Sewmor sewing machine. The knob at the bottom left of the pillar raises and lowers the feed dogs. I have not sewn with mine yet as she is in the repair process.
