Default LED for Featherweight

I bought one from the Featherweight Shop for mine. I love it. Nice and bright! And no getting burned from touching it.
I got the warm but they also have the cooler one.

Before I sold mine I also ordered that light, a good investment. I also ordered the wider foot pedal, worth every penny. Kept the originals of course and passed them along with the machine.

happy marriages between old and new.

Jim put LED's in my overhead light and in the lamp I have next to my machine. Big difference.

I was just going to start a thread that I want an LED on my 1942 15-91. I just pulled the bulb. Looks just like an 1141 automobile bulb but it’s rated for 120 volts.

LED bulbs are ideal for the lamp common on 15s. Mine has this round lumpy glass lens covering the bulb, and the only lamp that gets worryingly hot with the regular incandescent bulb. I think you can max out on wattage on the LED, as long as it's the narrow type with a B15 socket it looks like there is room. The only issue I have had is the minor differences of a B15 socket, the two protruding points on the side can be to tight for the lamp socket, I had to file them down a bit on a set of bulbs to be able to turn them properly in place.

I just got a few bulbs for my FWs from the FW shop! Haven't tried them out yet but really looking forward to using them!! I haven't burned myself on the old one but it does scare me when I can feel the heat radiating from it!
