Morse 4300 zig zag parts?
#1

while at the fabric shop my husband was visiting the local pawn shop and snagged this little doll for 10.00 Its a Morse 4300 zig zag in a nice cabinet. Its in great condition but it had been bought and returned cause they could not get it to work. They had it threaded wrong and trying to use a plastic singer bobbin. I got everything cleaned up but it is missing the first little tension eye piece there is just a hole where it goes. Any idea where to find one? Everything else is super clean no rust and moves like silk. ain't she Purdy!

I just had a quick look trying to find a decent shot of your missing thread guide and didn't get very far.
Maybe another member who has one can post a quick picture of the thread guide?

I looked at some photos of this machine on Pinterest. To me the thread guide looks like the foot or bent end of a hockey stick with two holes in it for thread. On some of them it points straight up & down, but on a few it looks angled toward the right side, as though it can be twisted.

is the bobbin case hard to find for one of these? there was one on ebay (may still be there) but from one of the pics I didn't see a bobbin case. will it take any class 15? think it's class 15 didn't research that far into it since I do NOT need to add another machine to the herd when I've already committed to get one next weekend..sigh...didn't make it out there after night shift yesterday morning so that leaves next fri afternoon or sat at the earliest to make the trip out...

It's a Japanese machine. I don't own a Morse but 99% of the Japanese machines use a class 15 bobbin case with the finger pointing toward 1 o'clock.
Most likely it's this one: http://shop.sew-classic.com/Bobbin-C...SCBC1313ZW.htm
