Default Fixed my 201- Thread guide was in my vacuum cleaner!

I'm so happy- I fixed the thread guide and the lever bar. The machine fixer gave me instructions over the phone for getting the lever down more. Everything is working.
Thanks for all the help so many of you gave me!
Sue
PS. The replacement thread guide wasn't even close to the original even though they said it would fit a 201. So glad I found mine.

That's awesome that you found it! When my kids were young people thought I was nuts because I would always search the vacuum bag before I threw it away if I heard it suck something up. You never know what sort of needed tidbit might end up in it.

How interesting. I once did that with some loom parts. And I found them in the vacuum cleaner bag also.

Sorry didn't realize multiple threads. So happy for you. Now look at that manual and see if it is what you did to adjust the foot bar. Great learning opportunity. And that OSMG is great. Wish I still had one here!

Good news! It reminds me of more than one story I have heard from the Dust Bowl during the depression where a toddler swallows a dime or other small change, and the parents wait eagerly for it to come out.
