My Singer Treadle

I have seen others post pics of their treadles, and thought I would post mine. I have not really looked at it for several years. On the plate under the needle it has stamped Patented October 8 1850, at least I think that is what is says.
She needs to be cleaned up, and am thinking about sewing on it.
It also has a wooden tube of number 11 needles.
I would sure like to know how to clean it up without doing any damage.

Oh wow! What a beauty. I would think that it's pretty clean. I wouldn't do much cleaning but do oil it often. I'm sure there are posts galore on here with recommendations, but give her lots of love and TLC and enjoy. Then make sure the next person she will go to will love her as much.
