Woo Hooo....I'm so happy for you.... I have a few FW's but I would love to have a FW made in 1953!! That's the year that I was born, also....

ETA: How is it that your neighbor had two of them? Were they hers or were they given to her?

I've been looking for one from 1953. That's when I was born, also. So far, I have a 1939 and a 1947. I love those little machines. The noise they make when they sew is so relaxing!

Could you adopt me as a grandchild? Or your neighbor need another neighbor? I would love to give a beautiful FW machine a good home too! Maybe someday mine will come to me!

Wow! All I get from my neighbors is an occasional view of a domestic ... and I don't mean the Domestic sewing machine!
