Default Mystery treadle may be mine .............

My wife and her oldest sister, the one I don't get along with, have been talking about sewing machines. Seems the older sister wants a functional treadle machine. So my wife sends her a pic of my #2 Singer 66 treadle. She was quite interested. She asked if it had accessories in the drawers and extra bobbins. Of course it does.

Then she tells my wife she's got and old decrepit treadle in her garage. It was given to her by an elderly lady who was moving into a retirement home. The head and cabinet are in rough shape and probably not worth anything but parts. All she knows about is it uses shuttle bobbins. Then she she asks; "Do you think Joe might be interested in taking it on"? Ummmmm, do cats meow??? Heck yes.
So, sometime in the near future a mystery treadle might just come home.

I might have to start getting along with that SIL.

Joe

It will be mid July before we are planning on going up there. My wife is hoping to do the Three Rivers Festival in Ft Wayne.

So I'll have to be patient till then.

My wife says: "Well, she doesn't drive any more so she'd have hire someone to haul it away."

Be nice to SIL Joe. Smile like you mean it. Remember one person's junk may be another's treasure. Too bad we have to wait till summer also to find out what kind of sewing machine the mystery treadle is.
