Lets's chit chat about the old machines!
If you have a "New Home" Vintage Sewing Machines please post your pictures here so we can all enjoy your old machines.

I just looked and the one that I have which was my grandma's is a New Home. I have all of the attachments and manual. It is in a beautiful cabinet, which I have sitting in my living room along with the old spinning wheels and weaving looms.

I am waiting for the picture to download from cell phone to computer. It is taking a few minutes!

I have a New Home I purchased from a thrift store. It isn't in a cabinet, it's in a case. I LOVE it, probably my favorite machine. So quiet and smooth running. DD sewed on "Naomi" one day and I didn't think I would get her back :) :)

Craftybear,
To find out the year your sewing machine was manufactured call this number and tell them the serial number and they will tell you. 1-800-631-0183
I bought a New Home treadle and called that number and they said it was made in 1891. I'll post a picture of it later.

What is the serial I have the dates and serials for the New Home Sewing Machine Company up to 1949. Post the serial number and I will see if I can help you out.
