Default pretty 128

I got this 128 vs yesterday. Very clean already, but a bit gummed up. I put a handcrank on it for service work.. Not trusting the wiring. Accessories under a pop up cover on the right. It came with all needed parts and a bentwood case. Haven't tried stitching yet.

A 128 was my first vintage sm. I've heard they are popular for hc. Hope to do that someday.

I have 5 or so 27, 28, 127, and 128"s I have put vintage hc's on (or they came with them). I really like the sound, feel, and stitch of them; but none is as pretty as yours. I will hopefully teach my 5 granddaughters to sew on them and give one to each.

This is a very nice machine and as a hand crank it is great for piecing. It is a smooth running machine. I was lucky to find one in great shape with original hand crank. I also have one that is electrified with an old Hamilton motor (swing motor) and it is a also a very good machine but I prefer the HC to the tailed machine. Never gives me trouble and it is not picky about thread.

This is my third 128. The other two are black. One is a blackslide. Yes, I do enjoy them. The other handcrank has gone on outings for handcrank demos.
