$1,000 worth of Singer attachments
I found this shop goodwill auction. Does any one see any thing here worth $1,000? I was out at $20.01.
Here is a link to the auction. https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/74116808  |
People can be ridiculous where old sewing machines are concerned.

I can't tell if that is an original Singer walking foot called the penguin but if it is, those are valued at $1200.00
|
I've never seen a Penguin IRL, so I can't be sure, but I don't think there is one in this lot.

If you look at the auction, click on bid history and you can see how quickly the price went up. There are at least four different people bidding the high dollar amounts. I was just interested in the flat cams so I was out of it early. Very early!!

They are after the walking foot
|
Yup, the walking foot - here is a link to what the box looks like - I would say it is there.
https://singer-featherweight.com/blogs/schoolhouse/how-to-use-the-singer-walking-presser-foot I would love one - but not willing to pay that price! |
not in my opinion??? I don't see anything that would come close to being worth that kind of money.
|
I have been looking for the walking foot, but not at that price!

There are several unusual pieces in that lot. There is a "walking presser foot" (penguin), a singer vintage walking foot for a slant machine, and a darning and a embroidery attachment (hopping foot). There are two different hopping feet. One fits 66, 99 and 201; one fits a 15 and 221, but I'm not sure which one that one is, as I didn't read the description. It appears that the cover plate for that is there, too. A couple of the black top hat cams are hard to find, but I'm not sure which ones they are or if they are in that lot.
I'm no expert on the accessories, I just did an internet search. So, I could be wrong. Bkay |
