Picked this up on our 36th anni. vacation. No manual, but came with some attachments, footpedal and griest buttonholer. Says made in WESTERN GERMANY. Serial #5 6 2 32 Model is ????????? On the underside it says............ Distributed by
Adler Industries Inc.

There is a thread, in this section, about German made machines. I think that some of the people were discussing their Adler machines so possibly you can find out more from them. Good luck...it sure is pretty!

I have an adler 152- and it looks just like this one. My first memory is watching my mother sew on it. She bought on payments in the late 50's, early 60's from a door-to-door salesman. I have sewn on mine to the moon and back, mostly quilts, but leather as well. If you find you do not use it, let me know. I would love to have a second one to pass it on to my daughter(s). I can also try and answer any of your questions.

It looks like my favorite kind of machine - a well used - well loved machine. I bet you will just love that machine! It looks like it is a straight stitch machine somewhat like a cross between a Singer 66 and a Singer 15 - probably better engineering though. It should not be very complicated to use and maintain and it should last a very long time more.
