I found this old gal on a yard sale for $30 and since it was my birthday, I brought her home. All parts move smoothly but I haven't tried sewing on her. She is very clean but will need her joints oiled. From what I can find on Ismacs she is from 1877.....there are a lot of attachments but I have no idea how to thread her and I don't see a bobbin as I know one----any ideas on her? I am eager to hear what you know.

WOW!!! Can't help you with any info about this beauty, but you need to find a hiding place from the cops 'cause you stole it!!! Absolutely beautiful! I can't believe the treadle cabinet is so beautiful after all these years! Again, WOW and congratulations. PS...Someone who actually knows something about her will come along soon, I know!
Oh, I just remembered that that base is called a "fiddle" base for the shape of it....

What a beauty!

It's a transverse shuttle machine, meaning that the shuttle will move in a straight line back and forth instead of a curved sweep. Look at Muv's thread about the German machines, and you'll see how to get to it. :)

What is the "sticker" inside the top? I can make out "Tinsley Brothers"....
