Beautiful Howe Model A1!! This is the 1st version of this Model. The later version has the stitch length adjustment on top of the bed near the medallion,. (A Serious improvement)

As to the "I am looking at a Howe" question, The shuttles for the Howe system are unique to Howe. They have a "hook" on the tail end. Finding one is usually a matter of buying another machine that has one... Very rarely available singly and if found are pretty pricey.

Mine came with 2 shuttles and 4 bobbins.

Is it stitching? 4 bobbins is just enough to be a useable machine. The fold-out case looks very nice too.
