Saw this in a listing and since i had not seen one with so much decoration, I went ahead and finally added one of these to the buttonhole cutter collection.

and Boy Howdy!!!! when I opened it up I was surprised and how lethal looking this little beastie was...
(my DD coined the phrase "Grandma's little shank")

The idea here is you move the slider to the number/size you want and then push the blade through the fabric until the little folded back portions hit the fabric.

This thing is still razor sharp....

I've never seen one like it. In fact, I didn't know until about 5 years ago why people were storing chisels in with their sewing supplies, lol.

Beautiful little thing in a deadly weapon sort of way.

Pretty darn cool if you ask me - lethal too! Maybe Hollywood can incorporate it into a murder mystery

Ohh!! I want Grandma's shank! LOL Can you imagine a Hollywood movie with a gangster grannie being the master mind of a billion dollar enterprise of sewers! Can you imagine that last scene that is the reveal then realizing that almost everyone with a sewing machine or basket could be a member.... Neat tool! I'll have to keep an eye out. :D

Ah! Perhaps the perfect murder weapon. Who would ever think to check Grandma's sewing cabinet or know what this is?
