1905 Singer Treadle

I restored this 1905 Singer about 10 years ago. I picked it up at a garage sale for $5.00. It needed a good cleaning and new belt mechanically. The cabinet and metal needed a bit of work. So naval jelly for the metal bought it back to life with out the need for repainting. The cabinet required a great deal of sanding and a bit of work to restore the veneer. I varnished it and sealed it with Swedish Oil. I needed to let that soak in for awhile then was able to finish it with a polyurethane coat to restore the final piece. It is in full working order.
Today I replaced the belt as it was wearing out and oiled her up. She 'sings' now and is ready to quilt with.
I also have all the original attachments. I used one of these attachments only last week on a baby quilt I was making and I needed just the right thing to do the trick one of these older attachments was just the right part!
I have several antique sewing machines here. This one however is my favorite.
