First of all keep it away from any water based anything. Sewing mahcine oil and gentle rubbing will do amazing things for you. Have you read teh stickies at the start of this section?

Your manual will tell you oiling pints for a machine that has been used regularly. Oil everything that moves, or should. Turn the machine over to get hard to reach spots and use and oiler with a long snout. Don't force anything. if you run into snags, ask again.
