Price is too high. I paid $220.00 for a 1936 in beautiful condition with case and attachments a few months ago. Alas, no penguin walking foot!

I think that is very high.Ihave been selling featherweights for a while and never seen one that i thought was worth that much.If it was a 1933 or one that was bought at the worlds fair It would have to have a special badge and the decals were 100% maybe then and only then.

I wouldn't pay that much for it - I have two Featherweights - I paid $250 for the first one (my husband's cousin purchased it for me in California and I had to wait almost a year for her to bring it to me, when she finally shipped it via UPS, it got delivered to the wrong address - at Christmas time - thankfully an honest person, she called me and we met - she was very embarrased because her kids were so excited about a package that they opened it for me - lol). The second one I purchased at a garage sale for $125 - I am sure the lady had no idea how valuable it was and it works like a dream! Needless to say, I paid for it and left in a hurry - lol

I have purchased 3 Featherweights that date from 1946 - 1949. I refuse to spend over $300 for any of them no matter what the date is. I also have purchased a treadle singer dated 1916 and bought that for $40 in a garage sale. If you keep your eyes peeled you can find some real nice bargains.

Very expensive. Try Ebay. I got 2 there for aprox $125 each, with attachments.

I have a 1936 FW in very good condition, complete and I'm going to ask $250 for it. That is what seems reasonable today.

I have an original Penguin walking foot in its box with instructions which I will sell for $495 including postage. It is part of my collection of original Singer attachments. Yes, they are very scarce. Google on the Internet and you will see the going price for them. Also there is a UTube video showing one being used. If anyone is interested, contact me.

I paid $400 for a 1935 about 5 years ago. Not sure what they are going for today.

wow, I had no idea that they were that expensive. Thanks everybody for responding to this post. I always learn something new, now I will be on the look-out for this penquin walking foot. Wonder if Goodwill............:)
