201-2 1941 Rebirthing

Whew!
Actually 1941...sorry. I am finally done with this 71 year old machine. It has been totally redone since the original shape was terrible. My regret is that I did not take a picture of it before restoration. The machine was sanded to the bone, primed, repainted, decals applied, lacquered and then a top coat of shellac was applied, motor completely rewired, and timing set. Serial AF887162 P.S. This is hybrid approach which Glenn and I have been discussing... I will document more completely my 306 that I'm about to begin on. The 201-2 is now purring and sewing perfectly. Very tight stitches. Not bad for an old gal :D. Here are some pictures. |

Looks great my Vandevoort looks like that. It was never used and with a new belt and lots of oil it sews beautifully. I didn't have do anything to it.
