301 Manual
I just got a 301, couldn't find a featherweight for a reasonable price and picked up the 301 for $15.00 SO I HAD TO GET IT! I'm not to familiar with the 301's cant even find the number plate. but it's 1:30 AM here, I'm not looking too hard LOL I ran across a manual while looking for info, thought maybe someone else might find it useful

Man, I just love those old 301s! I recommend them to everyone who wants a reliable portable machine. So cute ... and a much better value than a FW. As I recall, the serial number is stamped onto the bottom of the machine, over by the turn wheel. Then again, it could be over by the needle. Wherever it is, it's not hard to find.
Sounds like it came from a flea market or somesuch, but does it have any attachments? One of the first things I bought for mine was a 1/4" Bigfoot. Congratulations on your Big Find! |
it is on the bottom under were the bobbin is

I have both 301 and FW. Much prefer the 301 as it is not as finickey as the FW.

Love my 301 and it's so easy to pick up and carry to classes.

Congrats! You'll love your new baby! :)

I to have both but the 301 is by far a better machine. Enjoy your new big sister!

I am excited for you...great price. I picked up a 301in a cabinet at Goodwill today (LBOW). Paid much more than you, but it is the first one I have found and ran smoothly at the store. My FW is finicky too, especially the tension.

It has a cased in bottom. I do not know how to take it off, I gave the machine to my mothers hubby to clean/oil. I will look in the manual I just found online. I cant wait to start sewing with it. :D:D It did not come with any attatchments :( It did however have a bobbin in it. Any good places online to get sewing machine parts? |
